A Budapest-based dentist approached us looking to increase appointment bookings. The client wanted immediate results, so we initially considered Google Ads management. However, we also highlighted the benefits of SEO for long-term growth. The client accepted our special offer, which included Google Ads management along with 5 hours of SEO per month. Our task was to optimize search rankings while running effective ad campaigns to drive patient bookings.
As with every client, we started with an SEO audit. This is a comprehensive SEO analysis, manually conducted based on data from professional paid tools and years of SEO expertise. The 40-page report includes all technical and content-related issues, as well as competitor analysis.
During the audit, we found only a few technical issues, which were “low-hanging fruit” that could be easily fixed. The website was built on a solid foundation (WordPress) with a decent theme. However, the main weaknesses were in the site structure, content quality, and backlink profile.
We needed to redesign the website structure, as a one-page website can never rank well for as many keywords as a properly structured, multi-page site with clear navigation.
Through keyword research, we identified the best categories to create and compiled a list of blog topics to target additional search queries. We then created and optimized the subpages, followed by a software-based optimization for further refinement.
Once the new structure was in place, the focus shifted to consistent content posting and link building. Each month, we created multiple relevant blog posts, which were further boosted with strategic backlinks to improve rankings.
For a dentist, it is essential that the clinic appears frequently and in top positions in local searches. From the very beginning, we focused on strengthening local search visibility, making it a core part of our content strategy.
Since we were working with only 5 hours per month, we didn’t expect miracles. However, as shown in the results, “slow and steady wins the race”—within a year, we achieved remarkable growth.
It’s worth considering that if the client had started with a “standard package” (10 hours per month), these results could have been achieved much faster.
Thanks to a mobile-friendly, user-friendly website, content optimization, and gradual link building, the clinic steadily improved its rankings in local search results as well.
